About
In environmental and energy commodity markets, the rule is the fundamental. A compliance deadline, a comment-period close, an amendment to an RPS target: these move supply and demand the way weather moves natural gas. Yet the tools of the trade treat them as separate worlds. News services report the regulation. Data vendors sell the prices. Nobody connects the rulebook to the balance.
Knighted Markets was built to close that gap: every rule that moves a market, tracked at the source, wired to a supply-and-demand model of the market it moves. One desk, both halves.
Knighted was founded by Kiran Sidhu, an energy and environmental commodities trader and quantitative analyst with more than eighteen years in these markets. The platform exists because the tool he wanted on his own desk did not: regulatory intelligence that traces to primary sources, and market models honest enough to trade against.
"In these markets you are not trading the commodity. You are trading the rule that created it. I built Knighted to put the rule and the market on the same screen."
Figures trace to the rule, filing, or registry they came from, versioned and dated. If a number is modeled rather than sourced, it says so on the page.
Each market is rebuilt as a supply-demand balance: obligation against eligible supply, issuance against retirements. Prices are the output of that work, not the whole product.
Every screen was designed by someone who has had to defend a position with the number on it. That standard is the product.
Coverage, methodology, and a working platform — not a slide deck.
